The city of Inspiration never rests, it throws us into the epicenter of events, emotions, music, life. And again, Lublin was filled with music and the magic of the festival East of Culture – Different Sounds from June 28th till June 30th. In the framework of the free festival, the Lublin citizens and guests of the city had great opportunity to listen to various bands that are not often heard in Poland. Those bands were Way Station, Brain Damage, The Elephants, Garbanotas, Sheep Got Waxed, Shalosh. Musicians from different European countries came to the Lublin festival. They were from Ukraine, France, Latvia, Great Britain, Belarus. East of Culture – Different Sounds brought famous musicians and young talents together on one stage. Most of the concerts were performed on Friday and Saturday. During four days, the City of Inspiration was the center of a variety of musical styles and cultures.
The festival East of Culture – Different Sounds was attended by many foreign tourists and visitors from other Polish cities, who came to Lublin on this occasion. During the festival, a show of Lithuanian cinema was held at the Grodzka Gate – NN Theatre. In the framework of the festival, the exhibition “Bootleg. Silesian Hip Hop 1993-2003” is held in the gallery Brain Damage at the Center of the Meeting of Cultures. The exhibition will be extended until September 28th.
This year the festival was held at a high level and received many positive reviews. Personally I received a lot of positive emotions. I am still filled with energy of the festival.
