Looking for interesting places in Lublin just to go for a walk or ride a bike you should remember about two incredible places: Czuby Gorge and the Park of John Paul II. This will be our destination of our next virtual walk.<\/p>\n

Going around the Czuby area we will reach to a gorge cut by blocks of flats. Walking on roads we can easily walk through both sides of the gorge. The whole architecture of this place was adjusted to the natural area and shape of the gorge. Nowadays, it has been a great place for spending free time of people in Lublin. However, the past of this place was tragic. The gorge, which was quite far away from the city centre, was the place of 5 executions on political prisoners of the Lublin\u2019s Castle. It was done by the Nazis during the Second World War. Exhumation of the dead bodies found in this area didn\u2019t give the precise list of the victims. 500 people was killed over there. There is the monument to commemorate those events, it\u2019s near the Nadbystrzycka street. There is highly likely that you can hear rustle of trees remembering these tragic events.<\/p>\n

Walking further, we can see picturesque areas where people used to farm trees and gardens. As a result, we can find some fruit trees or bushes there. The whole gorge itself has been prepared for people to spend a good time here. Beautiful alleys, countless benches, new cycling roads encourage to spend some time outside. For the dogs\u2019 amateurs there are dogs area prepared. For not only elderly-aged people there is an outdoor gym. For kids there is a play ground. Everybody will find something for themselves.<\/p>\n

On the other side of the blocks of flats there is another part of the gorge where you will find the Park of the John Paul II. The park was created to commemorate the John Paul II Pilgrim in Lublin, where the main celebration was provided. That is why flowers grow in the shape of cross and the park has its special name after John Paul II. We will find there a scene for local events, squares and roads. It is worth to give it a try to forget about all your problems.<\/p>\n
