From the station you should go to the central square of Wroclaw, which is one of the largest in Europe. In the center of the square stands a real jewel of Gothic art – the City Hall. You will see all the beauty of Wroclaw if you climb to the last floor. The entrance to the city hall costs 15 zł. City Hall is opened to tourists every day from 10:00 to 17:00, except Monday and Tuesday.

If at some reasons you could not get to the City Hall, there is another way to see the city from a bird’s eye – it is the Church of St. Elizabeth. This is the main church in town, and its height reaches up to 87 meters. Wroclaw can be viewed perfectly from such height. The entrance to the church costs 5 zł. The church is opened every day.

Everyone will find something interesting for himself in Wroclaw. There are some addresses of different museums of Wroclaw. Panorama reproduces Racławice battle, in which Poles commanded by Tadeusz Kosciuszko defeated the king’s army. This work of art was transported from Lviv to Wroclaw in 1946. Only 39 years later, the authorities allowed to demonstrate it to the visitors. The Garden was created in the beginning of the 20th century, on the occasion of the Global Exhibition in 1913. The idea of renewing the Garden appeared in the 90s. The reconstruction lasted three years, the specialists from Japan came to assist, but the Garden did not survived for long. It was destroyed by the flood and 70% of the plants were lost. The next opening of the Japanese garden took place in October 1999. The garden is opened to the public from the 1st April to 31st October. The cost of the full ticket is 4zł, the discount ticket costs 2zł.

The Japanese Garden is located on ul. It is the oldest part of the city of Wroclaw. Here is where it all began. You may see old churches there. Krzysztof Szydlovski and Robert Molendo are the last lamplighters in Poland. 365 days a year one of these two gentlemen can be seen at dusk in his unique cape and top hat lighting the 103 gas lamps in the district. Hours of their work are regulated by sunrise and sunset.

Then you can visit a rather interesting place in Wroclaw – the Four Denominations District, that is located in the centre right next to Rynek. Its unique character derives from wonderful sacral architecture. In 300m, close to each other there are: the Orthodox church of Nativity of Theotokos, the church of St. Anthony of Padua – a Roman Catholic temple, a Synagogue and the Evangelical church of Divine Providence.

And one more thing that makes Wroclaw so unique – dwarfs. There is even a legend connected with those funny dwarfs. According to the legend, the dwarfs liked this Silesian Region and they found shelter here. About 200 figures of these funny men may be found in Wroclaw. Try to find all of them just for fun. There is even a special map that makes it easier to look for them.

Shopping center Renoma, which was built in the era of European modernism, is worth been seeing.
