Ethics in Poland. Controversially Preserved!

Polish society is unique! If you want to meet people with a high level of morality come to Poland! Seems like violence, traffic accidents, street fights are everywhere except Poland. Sounds strange? What is your opinion?

If you were complaining about being forced to use pan and pani while addressing the Poles, you may have a point here, but an insider look into the Polish society would make you change your mind. Unless you want to spend your time with a permanent fear of going down to the streets or even buying your grocery because some outraged gangsters may rob or attack you, well, Poland is the place for you! Here, especially in proud beautiful bride, Lublin, you’ll walk totally feeling safe even in the late night because the culture of attacking people is simply absent. In fact, one even funny scene is when you come across two people whose cars rammed into each other and each is saying: ”But, madam/sir, you were wrong!!” without anyone pulling weapons or physically attacking the another! But why, what is the secret?

Despite the permanent efforts by surrounding powers to eliminate Poland from existence where the last one was with the lunatic Hitler and his Soviet counterpart Stalin, yet Polish people kept a high level of morality in their behaviors and dealing. Religious devoutness counts as a major factor here where the Poles proved immune to the forcible secularization that invaded Europe after technological globalization, but still, some say that it is the fear of being invaded again which turned the Poles into over polite. In fact, it takes a great and mighty people to sustain the initial pure nature; the proof came with the EU accession!

After Poland has become a European Union Member State on 1 May 2004, many feared that the out-of-control invading matrix of ethics will be spontaneously transferred to Poland: a de facto tax for joining the Union, but after ten years of membership, Poland was able to take the advantages of being in such rich entity yet without losing its rooted morality and manners.

While lots of foreigners and Erasmus students tell unfortunate accounts about the amount of violence, traffic accidents, street fights (you can see a page on Facebook called Only Street Fighting with three MILLION followers) and the worst is with bullies, Poland boasts that its people don’t even know such ethics; when you drop in the street or get some difficult situation, many people will not film but rather will help you! The actual reason for this country’s good manners is ramified: some say it is the religious compass and others say it is the very polite nature of the Poles; it is genuine! What do you think?
