Does religion influence Polish people? Does Poland need more churches than it already has? What about euthanasia? Let’s find out from the perspective of a Syrian who has lived in Poland for 2 years.
Wherever I go I see churches, isn’t it too much?
While roaming the streets of Poland, you will be either happy with the many marvelous deep-rooted ancient churches or you’ll criticize the money spent on building that many praying places! But, before jumping to conclusions, churches and religion in Poland need more analytical insider examining! After all, it’s easy to criticize the amount of money spent on building and renovating churches ignoring a vital necessity for erecting them; in fact, Poland needs more!
This land was invaded, torn into parts, and lusted for by surrounding neighbors not for a reason rather than her potentials; the religious innateness of the Poles made the primary target. History records the worst kind of religious persecution been exercised against Poland in many epochs; the last was with the communists who viciously tried to eradicate religion while occupying Poland and impose atheism on deeply-rooted. God’s land! The reason was fighting the very good, peaceful and powerful nature of the Poles that evil shall conquer.
Religion in Poland has kept this country safe with vivid conscience. While many countries are racing to brag their secularism and promoting abnormality, Poland is looked at as a pious country with sacred atmosphere. The genius mixture is with cutting edge technological industrial modern country, and moral with healing ethics at the same time!
In Poland people who don’t know each other and about to leave some place say: “Do widzenia”, translates as ‘goodbye’ not because someone forces them but rather their very nature mothered by religion!
In Poland, smokers go outside even their own homes to smoke. You will NEVER see someone smokes inside closed structures; not because they fear of the law but rather their very nature doctored by religion!
Poles called each other with Mr. and Mrs. and never lose the courtesy and politeness of manners; not because they are cold, but it is rather their very warm gentle nature conducted by religion. On the contrary of many secular countries, in Poland nobody euthanizes their parents because they became burdens. In fact, the elderly are highly respected and dealt with much love from everyone even teenagers; it’s the will of life nurtured by religion.
You may disagree and have a different approach and is totally respected that, but the advantages and privileges of being skied by religion satisfy the Poles and make them even love you more!
