Known and Unknown places of Lublin – Zalew Zemborzycki (Zemborzycki Lake)

Lublin is a charming city on the East of Poland. Lublin is shown as a city with picturesque Old Town that leads to the Lublin Castle. In the touristic information we will find also State Muzeum at Majdanek, Skansen – the Museum of the Lublin Village or Lublin Cathedra.

However, not only is Lublin the castle, Majdanek or Skansen – typical “Must-see” places but also the plenty of little charming streets, squares and legends which are worth visiting. Within a few articles we will present some ideas for long and short journeys to go for running or just to sit with a cup of coffee with friends. Dear Reader, we would like to take you for unique virtual walks through Lublin, where you will find the heart of the city step by step.

Our walk will be started on the suburbs of the city just to feel the last shines of sun. Zalew Zemborzycki will be an appropriate for our beginning. Zalew Zemborzycki is a great place for recreation and sports where everybody can find something good for themselves. Zalew Zemborzycki is an artificial water place made in 70s. Zalew is landed near the forest where many species of fauna and flora exist. That can be fascinating for people who seek for silence and peace within the nature.

BY BIKE: For more active people, there are some other available facilities starting from well developed cycle roads. If we do not have any bike, we can follow the net of “the city bikes” and borrow it in the city centre. Newly made connections leading from the city centre to Zalew are tempting option for cyclists.

ON FOOT: Those who prefer walking form of relaxing, there are good bus connections from the city to Zalew. For all of the walkers there are many peaceful roads and places to have a sit and have some rest.

ACTIVE ON LAND: On some occasion, there is a line park to give it a thrill to the trip. Moreover, there is also availability to use an outdoor gym and play ground for younger walkers. In addition, there is possibility to eat dinner with family or friends in the near restaurants or bars.

ACTIVE IN WATER: Active people who adore water sports can use the pools and have possibilities to go for water-ski, boats or rent the needed equipment for it.

To sum up, Zalew Zemborzycki is a various place where we can have spend time actively or to have a lazy rest and breathe of fresh air. So, is it worth to experience by itself what kind of recreation form works with you on Zalew Zemborzycki?
