Did you know that if you buy a car in Poland, you have 30 days to register it in the City Hall? In case you miss the deadline, you may be fined from 200 to 1000 PLN. One interesting fact: at the beginning of the pandemic in Poland, the registration period for a car imported from another EU country, as well as a domestic purchase notification, were extended to 180 days, i.e. the buyer had six months to register his/her new purchase. Unfortunately, this provision was in force only until December 31, 2020 and now we are returning to ‘normality’ in this regard (unless the Polish legislator changes his mind and prolongs this solution).
