Did you know that in more than half of the European Union countries Good Friday is a statutory holiday? Citizens of Austria, Bulgaria, Denmark, Spain, Germany, Portugal and Sweden do not go to work on the second day of the Easter Triduum. And in Poland – both Maundy Thursday and Good Friday – are ordinary working days.
