Stanisław Staszic High School in Lubli

There are a lot of good public schools in the Lublin Voivodeship, offering a great selection of different profiles of high school classes. But today we will focus on the 1st Stanisław Staszic High School in Lublin. It is a place with a rich history, great teachers and hardworking students. Since 2013 it is the best high school in the Lublin Voivodeship. It is a place for ambitious students who like to learn and rich their goals. This school offers 7 specialties: IB, socio-legal, economic, mathematical, physical and IT, 2 biological and chemical specialties and polytechnic classes.

There are a lot of interesting things that encourage young people to choose this school, but there is one special class that distinguishes this school from other high schools in Lublin. It is a class with international high school diploma, which is called class IB (International Baccalaureate). IB is a Swiss program that lasts 2 years, i.e. the 3rd and 4th grade of high school, where the first and second years are two pre-ib studying years.

This class requires a much more students effort and work. Despite writing their final exams in 6 subjects selected by young people, students must write their EE (research dissertation on 4000 words) and several IA (research dissertation on 2000 words). All subjects are implemented in English, except Polish language class and classes of foreign languages.

This program prepares students for university life, because they must write essays in the academic style, do independent researches, implement in various voluntary projects. In the 2nd grade of high school, students declare which subjects they choose to study for the next 2 years and take their final exams. Physical education, TOK (Theory of knowledge) and CAS (volunteering, which every IB student should include) must be added to those 6 subjects.

Due to the fact that while implementing the program itself, every student has their own timetable, according to the lessons he or she chose. The school has a special place for IB students, where they can stay during the breaks between classes. This room provides some places for rest (there are couches there) and a place for quiet study. Going to class with international high school diploma has its advantages and disadvantages. It is a place for students who are willing to devote most of their free time to doing a variety of projects, working as volunteers in various places. It also requires working by your own, and it helps young people to stay organized and plan their time wisely.

Stanisław Staszic High School in Lublin is a place where you can get great knowledge and develop your passions. Teachers are great support there. You may find a lot of great friends there and take part in many domestic and international projects.
